About
the Course
-
No, just bring yourself and something to make notes with.
-
Not a problem at all. It will be recorded and added to the site within 24 hours.
-
Yes absolutely, the more the merrier!
-
Usually between an hour and an hour and a half depending on how much there is to cover.
-
The recordings (both video and audio) will be uploaded to the relevant module page within 24 hours of each live session. You can access the home study manual on the same page as the recordings.
-
Some of the resources we use within the course will require you to have Excel and Word.
If you are using a Mac and don’t have these programmes - you will need to purchase the Microsoft package in order to download them.
-
This is completely personal choice - a normal laptop or Macbook can be used, but please note that you will need access to Excel and Word to download some of the resources.
So if you do have a Macbook you will need to purchase the Microsoft package.
Learning about Chi and Different Energies
-
Chi (energy) follows the pathway of least resistance, so it speeds up in straight lines, and slows down around corners. Therefore straight pathways to the house, living on T Junctions or at the bottom of a hill for example, can all speed up the Chi entering the home.
Energy from the ocean can also impact the home, and often when people live next to the sea they may struggle to sleep.
Having a bed directly opposite the bedroom door will also mean you have a direct line of chi shooting towards the bed. This may impact the ability to sleep.
-
There are lots of ways that Chi (energy) speeds up and when this ‘hits’ a house at speed it can impact the energy in the home. It may impact sleep, anxiety, the ability to relax, health and headaches for example.
-
The best way of doing this is by adding something in the way of the pathway of energy to slow it down. Such as a plant, a chandelier type light fitting, a rug or even some crystals.
-
Yes, because Flying Stars Feng Shui uses the actual compass and true north which means no matter where you are in the world, North is still North.
Other schools of Feng Shui don’t use the compass and and this will therefore vary in the northern and southern hemisphere.
-
Due to the fact that boats and planes don’t have a set geographic location, you would say that the North is the ‘facing’ and South is the ‘sitting’. So on planes, North would be the nose of the plane, and on a boat it is where most of the light enters so in the majority of cases it would be the back of the boat that is the facing.
-
Yes. An example of this was a client who was having trouble with her shoulder. Therefore, I checked the Southwest of the home as this looks after the ‘dominant female’ and also the Northeast as this looks after hands, fingers and arms.
Mapping
a Home
-
MS Word and Google Earth (this is a website not an App).
-
In this situatlon you would ask your client to send you 3 compass readings. They need to stand with their back against the wall in three different locations.
Please watch the Loom video that shows you how to then find out the sitting and facing on the Compass Reading Document CLICK HERE TO WATCH NOW

If a whole area is missing, then make the grid smaller and then extend the gird out. So rarely would you mirror a whole missing space as you would want to be able to add remedy somewhere in that area
Think practically about if it would be possible to add remedies to the extended area, or is it too small?

The Flying Stars
-
It is the responsibility of the client to find this out. They can check with their local council, online, planning permissions or even their neighbours for example. I even went to the library and spoke to a local historian!
-
You always add the sequence (for example - + +) clockwise around the grid.
-
Then you use the sequence of the construction cycle. For example if the home was built in cycle 6 then you use the sequence - + +
-
Yes, because the annual year will need to be updated. in 2024 we start with 3 in the centre and in 2025 this will be 2.
-
The excel spreadsheet will be shared with you for Part 2 of Module 6.
Elements and Remedies
-
As long as air can circulate around the metal it can go under sofas, under cabinets, in baskets that are open, under plants etc. It can only go in a cupboard if the cupboard door is left open.
-
Remedies aren’t as powerful if they are in bathrooms as it is a ‘waste’ room. However if this is the only place it can go then that is fine.
-
No, the remedy must be placed inside.
-
No, you need to be able to see the colours in the room.
-
Aim for 5-6 smaller items or 2-3 larger items such as a throw or a rug.
-
5-6 items per area.
-
Anything that is in the colours - it can be note books, post it notes, slippers, tissue boxes, pens, cushions, throws, tea towels, oven gloves, candles that have fire coloured stickers, hand soaps that have fire coloured stickers etc.
-
This is the normal amount of metal, plus 7kgs.
-
No not at all, but you can spray paint if you wish.
-
I would increase the amount of metal you place there to overpower the fire.
-
Add more fire colours to overpower the water colours.
-
Only the salt-cure can be completley hidden, the metal can be placed under furniture but it must have access to the air around it. All fire items need to be out in the open so that they can have an impact on the air around them.
-
If you have a metal staircase, wood burner, Aga oven etc then this will count towards the amount. Washing machines and tumble dryers don’t because the metal is covered in plastic.
